Xeet Video Saver Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026
Xeet Video Saver has one purpose: letting you download X/Twitter videos and animated GIFs that are already visible to you.
Local processing
The extension reads the minimum post and media metadata needed to match a video on the page with its available MP4 qualities. This processing happens only in your browser. Page-discovery caches remain in memory while the page is open.
To provide a restart-safe download queue and duplicate warnings, local extension
storage keeps a bounded queue containing post identifiers, usernames, filenames,
quality details, status, and timestamps. Queued and active records also keep the
selected video.twimg.com URL until the download finishes or fails.
Completed downloads add a bounded post/media/quality fingerprint and completion
timestamp. Old entries are automatically evicted, and finished queue entries can
be cleared from the popup.
No collection or transmission
The developer does not collect, store, sell, or receive your browsing activity, post content, media URLs, identity, downloads, or usage data. The extension has no analytics, telemetry, advertising, accounts, or developer-operated server.
Your quality, filename, and button-display preferences are stored locally by the browser's extension storage. None of this locally stored data is transmitted to the developer or any third party.
Downloads
When you choose a quality, your browser downloads the selected file directly
from video.twimg.com. The extension reads the browser's download
progress to update its in-page and popup status. Terminal status remains in the
bounded local queue until it is cleared or evicted. Browser and X/Twitter privacy
practices remain governed by their respective policies.
Permissions
Site access is limited to x.com and twitter.com. The
Downloads permission starts selected files and reads their status. The Storage
permission saves preferences, the bounded queue, and duplicate fingerprints as
described above.
Your responsibility
Download only content you own or have permission to save. The extension does not bypass authentication, access controls, or digital rights management.
